Unfortunately for their team, the Tomei/Cusco/Voltex WRX STI did not break the overall record held by HKS but they came darn close. It's impressive considering the fact that the car went that fast thanks to chassis prep, a good engine, and attention to the small details. Most of the body structure seemed to be intact and Cusco even had a board listing all the parts on the car for sale. Look for our March 2009 issue, where we lay out (in the kind of complete detail that you can only find with SCC) the Tomei/Cusco/Voltex STI for all to pick apart.
