It's just a rendering for now, but debuting at the British Motor Show (supposedly) is this, the IFR Automotive Aspid sports car. The touted "luxury" two-seater looks like a Lotus Seven with a top, and is designed by IFR. IFR stands for founder Ignacio Fernández Rodriquez, who used to be with Prodrive (although the press release doesn't state what he did there). The 2.0-liter engine on board can come with 270bhp n/a or 400bhp supercharged. With only 1550lbs to carry around, this means IFR claims a 0-100km/h (62mph) time of 2.8 seconds, 1.6g of lateral grip and a max limited speed of 155mph.
The numbers are quite a claim but the starting price for this machine is a cool $150,000. You should be getting something for your money. Since the only thing we've seen so far is computer renderings, we'll hold our judgement until a real car comes out.
