I don't see anything wrong with it, but you get to a point where the cost of doing something like that swap outweighs the benefit.

1. yes i did. my issue has to get forwarded to me, but i got it like a week ago. i enjoyed the s2000 that was tested with the pair of ae86'. for some reason i am diggin' the interior. especially the shift lever and boot. it looks like the smoothest shifting transmission lever ever.

2. Why would you put a honda motor in a toyota? Be a little more reallistic, please. If you want a cool swap, put a 2JZ-GTE into a 1st gen Toyoto MR2. The weight of the motor would Keep the tires planted, and the power/weight ratio would destroy the quarter mile with a good set of slicks.

3. yeah and how much would it cost to fit a big power plant like the 2JZ into a small car like the 1st gen MR2?

4. hmmm...yea the S2K engine and tranny its a great match as far as i know the 86, alwys darg racers say do the "BIGGEST AND THE FATEST ENGINE AND THEN ADD TRUBO!!!", in the world of driving with tecniqs(not a handicap straight run") there is rules you cant cross, AE86 fully built in and out with S2K engine cost about $25K(its fatser than the 01 Porsche GT3 and the new 997 turbo around track, what you have to say about that?!), why the S2K? its 2.0 light, ravs to 9K N/A, its the best platform for a 2000lbs >>>RWD car, note that N/A RWD cars are faster then Turbo ones cause the hp/trq its more balanced trowout the RPM`s, like F1 910hp @ 17K rpm, bulting a 4AGE engine to 200hp would cost 20K alone!, the s2000 engine IT IS THE BEST SWAP FOR REAL DRIVERS WITH 86`s OUT THERE, simply bulit around track! AMAZING VALUE...SIMPLY AMAIZING VALUE FOR ONE OF THE GREATEST PERSONAL RACES CARS EVER!

5. a 2jzgte wouldn't be that unrealistic. The mr2 had an optional 6
cylinder. 2gz's are expensive, and there's know way to get around that, but it's cheeper than buying a supra. And if you want a sleeper the mr2 would be the best. Mate that motor to a 2nd gen mr2 tranny and you'll have a drive train that will take some abuse. I don't know if it would be possible to strap 1jz-gte turbo onto the factory 6, but it would be something interesting to try to do that wouldn't cost as much.
