Cold Weather - Horsepower

It's 55 here in SoCal, and I feel a difference in power.  For those in cold weather counties, do you feel a difference?

1. I live in Cincinnati, OH, and the temp dropped from 63 this morning when I left for work to 34 when I left work to come home tonight. The differance in how my '98 Civic drove was amazing, it's like driving a totally different car! So no, it's not just you.

2. i would say absolutely. SCC even said there is like a 1% increase for every 10 degrees colder.
Maybe I should make my comptech icebox really an icebox. What does anybody think? Should I put some mesh at the bottom at the air horn and fill it with ice. Crap but then I will be limiting flow. Ok so how bout a put a mesh box at the end of the air horn sure it might last for a minune or two but I figure there will be like a 3% gain.

5. i live in philly pa and itll be 100 in the summer and 15 in the winter, and believe me, a 10 degree drop is huge for my thirsty rotary and going from summertime driving to wintertime is like owning two different cars!

6. When we race Porsche Turbos, we gain about 10 hp for every 10 degree drop (until about 60 deg)

So cold weather is beneficial for sure for Turbos-

8. *** my friends SUV gets more power in the winter. Im sure anything thats tuned makes even more than his does. You can feel it too. The slushbox he has also doesnt like the cold weather: it slips, it slides, it jumps and jitters. It's rough, but sportier feeling than a slushbox.

9. I live in edmonton alberta canada our winter temps can easily go down to -30 to -40 degrees celcius (-41 is about the same celcius and fahrenheit). I drive a wrx and can definitely feel and hear a difference especially in the very cold ranges. I asked COBB tuning about to estimate what kind of hp increased may be seen at lower temps but got no response. I just installed COBB's stage 2 and am curious to see the difference next winter.
